Time for Action Zambia, based in Livingstone, is dedicated to advancing sexual and reproductive health (SRH). Before ODSS training, the organization lacked governance policies and financial systems, limiting its ability to grow and serve communities effectively.

Challenges

  • No HR or financial policies are in place.
  • Founder’s syndrome, which stifled leadership development.
  • No mechanisms for transparent financial reporting.

The Journey

In November 2022, ODSS training introduced Time for Action Zambia to practical governance and resource mobilization strategies. They developed HR and financial policies, engaged an accountant, and addressed founder’s syndrome, shifting focus to community-centered leadership.

  • Created a structured governance framework, including financial policies and HR systems.
  • Engaged more volunteers to expand community impact.
  • Shifted organizational focus to prioritizing community needs over personal gains.
